Tatsumi
was off to the Imperial Capitol to start a new life, only to run into
a group of Assassins known as 'Night Raid'. There in the Imperial
Capitol he learns is filled with the corrupt and black hearted people
who prey on the innocent and weak. Tatsumi joins Night Raid to
avenge those who have died and killed by the Empire, their goal is to
kill everyone who is involve with the government, but no matter how
they sugarcoat things, history will always remember them as murderers
and assassins in Akame Ga Kill!: Collection 1 (2014).
Tatsumi
once believe that the Imperial City was a place where people could
live in happiness and there was fairness and justice for all who
lived there, but in truth he couldn't be more wrong, the capital was
nothing more than den of wolves in sheep's clothing. The powerful
and corrupt rule through fear by using 'Imperial Arms', legendary
weapons with incredible powers, however Night Raid also collects and
uses the Imperial Arms against them. Akame uses a cursed blade named
Murasame, Mine is a sniper who's gun get more powerful as the danger
increases, Leone can turn into a beast woman, Sheele uses a giant
pair of scissors that can cut anything, Lubbock uses unbreakable
wires, and Bulat uses Incursio, an invincible armor which he later
passes on to Tatsumi.
This is a bloodbath filled anime where
the main characters are killers and assassins ...and they aren't
afraid to kill off characters too. It creates a world where the
government is absolute evil and deserve to die. While there is some
comic relief and romance, viewers should be aware of it's mature
content, it's subject matter isn't for the conservative or faint of
heart.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image is incredible demo
quality all the way and among Sentai's best to date, while the DTS-HD
MA (Master Audio) lossless mixes are here in English 5,1 and Japanese
2.0 Stereo (with Pro Logic surrounds if you like) versions that are
among the best set of choices Sentai has ever offered on a Blu-ray.
