The
Last House (2015/Wild Eye DVD)
Picture:
B- Sound: B- Extras: C Film: D
Shot
in one location in L.A., this sadistic film features Jason Mewes,
Ezra Buzzington, and Felissa Rose as completely unlikable characters.
Shot decently, but pulled down by poorly written dialogue and bad
acting, Sean Cain's The Last House (2015) tries to be some
sort of mix between sex film and psychological horror but ends up
being more a testimony of how long you can sit through it without
turning it off.
After
his girlfriend is kidnapped by a satanic trio of escaped mental
patients, a young man must rescue her from a Hollywood home before
their sadistic plans can be realized and he loses her forever.
Presented
in standard definition with an anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of
1.85:1 and a lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the film looks fine on
DVD but would look better in high definition. Extras include
Director's Commentary, Interviews, UK Premiere Footage, and Trailers.
