Keiichiro's
no samurai, but he is a ruffian with a heart of gold (though he
doesn't look like it). He soon discovers he is a lost heir and the
only one who can pilot the legendary robot Susanoo to protect Japan,
only catch is that Susanoo also needs a female copilot and Keiichiro
is allergic to women. Now, his life is surrounded by buxom woman can
he survive the night much less the battles?
Dai Shogun!
(2014) is filled with busty girls, ninjas, samurai, giant steampunk
robots with tons of fan service. The giant robots are called
Onigamis and created to protect Japan from the invading foreign
devils, but as our protagonist learn about his past and how to pilot
Susanoo he must also learn to get over his fear of woman, with each
new female copilot Susanoo takes on another form and Keiichiro gets
another lover. And for some reason, most of the enemies were also
buxom females.
This was an action filled anime series with
plenty of eye candy and girls with mechas win scantly clad outfits.
It takes all the typical fanservice and rolls it all into one, mixed
with steampunk and slightly historical fiction of Japan.
The
1080p digital High Definition 1.78 X 1 presentation is near Sentai's
very best, while the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo
Japanese tracks complement the images, even when it cannot match
them. Extras include clean opening and closing animation and
trailers.
