Tiger
House (2015/Magnolia/MagNet Blu-ray)

A
girl sneaks into her boyfriend's house for the night, but what was to
be a night of fun soon turns into a hostage situation, four masked
men breaks and quickly takes over everyone... everyone except her.
Hidden when they arrived she must now use her wits and courage to
stop the four highly trained men who had been planning for months in
Thomas Daley's Tiger House (2015).
All Kelly (Kaya
Scodelario) wanted to do was tell her boyfriend (who ALSO shot her in
the leg with an arrow, which tells you a little on her for her choice
in boyfriends) was that she was pregnant, but when her boyfriend's
father is forced to help carry out a bank heist, she must somehow
overpower 4 heavily armed men with only a crossbow and a single bolt!
Trapped and hidden, time is running out, but fortunately for her one
of her adversaries was wounded and develops a conscience and another
has a father inferiority complex which she uses to her advantage.
When they split up for the heist she takes the opportunity to take
them out one by one, only to discover in the mastermind was her
boyfriend's father.
This was your typical hostage survival
situation story, but set in South Africa for a change with a thriller
history of its own (hear episodes of the creepy old thriller radio
drama Beyond Midnight, for example). It is fight or flight,
with understanding the 'rules' of job. The smallest mistake could
cause the plan to fail or even become fatal, but like life, things
don't always go as planned and that when using your wits is more
important than following the 'plan', improvisation to the situation
is crucial to survival. Dougray Scott also stars.
The
HD-shot 1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image is as good as
its going to get with its darker look and lesser surveillance
footage, while the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 mix has its quiet
moments and location audio moments that produce an awkward
soundfield. Extras include making of the movie and trailers.
