A
must for sport fans, specifically baseball, comes Baseball
Legends, a four film collection on four prolific players to ever
grace the league: Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron and Lou Gehrig
- all four making the sport what it is today. Using rare and enhanced
archival material and state-of-the-art production techniques the
films make for an interesting watch if you are a fan or historian.
Narrated
by Martin Sheen, Baseball Legends contains 4 films focusing on
each legend and exclusive bonus features for a total of over four
hours of content. They include American Hercules: Babe Ruth, The
Immortal: Ted Williams, The Hammer of Hank Aaron, and Iron
Knight: Lou Gehrig.
Presented
in standard definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and a
lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the films look fine on DVD, but could
benefit to a Blu-ray upgrade as this is well made.
Extras
include The Making of American Hercules: Babe Ruth, rare
player interviews, historic game footage, Ted Williams Hall of Fame
induction, extended interviews with various experts and archival
footage from the Major League Baseball Film & Video Archive.
