Entourage:
The Movie (2015/Warner Blu-ray
w/DVD)
Picture:

The
Entourage Movie was a little bit of everything I expected and
more. I highly anticipated this film, because I was a huge fan of
the show. Some may think that the movie was just a way to get people
to pay for an hour and a half long version of the show or an excuse
to parade a bunch of celebrities throughout, but this is not
necessarily the case. It takes place in Los Angeles, California and
the ''Hollywood scene'' so, it is only natural to have them
constantly bump into celebrities.
The
movie is based off the HBO cable TV series ''Entourage'' which
aired for 8 seasons, a decent length for a show. However, this
should not discourage those people that did not watch the show. It
is easy to follow without knowing characters and references to fake
movies, television shows, commercials, etc. They give a nice recap
of everything from Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) discovering Vince Chase
(Adrian Grenier) from seeing him in a Mentos Commercial to Turtle
(Jerry Ferrara) becoming very wealthy by investing and starting a
popular tequila company. It also includes back-story of the other
main characters Eric ''E'' (Kevin Connolly) and Johnny ''Drama''
(Kevin Dillon), who can sometimes steal the show in the movie. So,
if you are in the mood to watch the movie, but not everyone has seen
every season, it should be fine to watch and will keep their
attention.
Most
would say that Vince Chase (Grenier) is the main character of
Entourage, but I would say that that is really just why all
these characters are there. The other characters are why you stay
and watch, because they have the biggest changes in story and
character. It is very nice seeing the old gang I thoroughly enjoyed
watching on the series Entourage and seeing what they were up
to now. Entourage: The Movie gives us a very sweet ending to
almost all of the characters, which was nice to see, but I will not
spoil it for anyone.
The
movie looks great in 1080p Blu-ray HD, with all the luxurious
Hollywood sets and different Los Angeles scenes, not to mention the
many girls you will see. It is presented in a 2.4:1 widescreen with
a lossless English DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 audio, which sounds
great whether it be in surround sound or stereo.
The
bonus features include The
Making of Hyde: a behind the scenes look of the fake movie
within the movie, The Gang -
Still Rockin' It: the cast discuss how their lives have
changed since the series, Entourage,
Hollywood, Baby!: The gang and creator give you the
Los Angeles experience, Meet the
Newest Member of Entourage, Lucas Ellin Is Jonah Gold,
Deleted Scenes, and a Gag Reel. A digital copy of the movie is also
included in this set.
