Steven
Seagal is BACK along with Vinnie Jones in the action rampage
Absolution, which is your typical revenge thriller with some
cool action to fill in the gaps. If you are a fan of Seagal, then
you will be pleasantly surprised by some pretty cool action sequences
in this and a classic performance from the man himself. The movie
opens with the explanation that Seagal hasn't killed the one that he
needs to yet until he achieves 'absolution' and can walk away from
his violent lifestyle. Even in his prime age, Seagal is still able
to disappear and reappear like Batman when attacking his enemies and
fight in slow motion just like he used to. He DID take on The
Expendables after all, didn't he?
This
time, when a contract killer (Steven Seagal)
encounters a girl on the run from a mob boss (Vinnie Jones) with
powerful political ties, he is torn between protecting the girl, and
remaining loyal to the government agency that hired him for the
mission. A sequel to Seagal's A Good
Man, this film is about as equal as
its predecessor so if you enjoyed that then you may want to give this
a shot.
Lionsgate's
presentation on the disc is top notch with a sharp 1080p, 1.78 X 1
digital high definition transfer with a powerful DTS-HD MA 5.1 track
to boot. There's also a digital copy of the film included to watch
on your smartphone or tablet if you're into that sort of thing.

Typical
Seagal film with some F-bombs and some violence. If you're craving
another adventure, then this may be right up your alley. If not,
nothing new or super special that makes this stand out.
