Hello Ladies: The Complete Series and Movie (2013 - 2014/HBO DVD)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C Episodes: B-

Hello Ladies, here comes Stuart (Stephen Merchant), a recent transplant from England who lives in L.A. and thinks he is God's gift to women. Each night, Stuart hits the Hollywood night life looking for parties and super models/actresses and to see if they are willing to come home with him and shag it with him. Stuart is a 6'7" tall giant with a British accent. Unfortunately, that is where his charm ends in this Complete Series with telefilm set.

Most of the time, he ends up being as either the gofer or the guy who gets to pay the bill. While he runs a small but successful computer software company, he is the nerdy desperate guy who is willing to do anything/spend anything to get girl. His best friends are Wade, a recent divorcee who can't forget about his ex-wife, Kives, a paraplegic who gets more girls than Stuart and Wade put together and Jessica, Stuart's roommate/boarder actress whom Stuart uses to introduce him to other actress/models.

This series makes fun of geeks and nerds who can't get girl friends and is almost painfully funny to watch and laugh at as the main character's attempts to woo women. If it wasn't for the British accent, I wouldn't have found it nearly as amusing. Every episode is him using a new tactic to pick up girls and then seeing how it ultimately ends with epic fails.

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix on all the shows play as well as they can in the format. Extras include behind the scenes with cast & crew and deleted scenes.
