L.A.
Apocalypse (2014 Telefilm/Anchor Bay DVD)
Picture:
C Sound: C Extras: D Telefilm: C+
When
earthquakes strikes the heart of L. A. and it seems as if it is the
end of the world, but for one man he searches for his girlfriend who
trapped with in the building of her basement across town. However
between him and her are miles of ruin, rubble and lava ...and on top
of that all the convicts have broken free and control the streets.
Time is running out, as one large quake is coming and threatens to
leave nothing standing in Michael J. Sarna's L.A. Apocalypse
(2014).
The
world is coming to an end (again!?!) and the military is evacuating
the city. However, they had hardly the time to rescue people and
with orders to pull out. Only one man stays behind, but he must now
brave the streets filled with criminals who seek to ransom and take
civilian hostages. The city is surrounded by molten lava and the
only way to escape is find a working helicopter.
How
come whenever the world is coming to an end it always has to be
either New York, Washington, Tokyo, L.A. or some major city?
Unfortunately, no real city was destroy or harm, but very low level
computer CGI, making fake cracks in building and crumbling into CGI
dust. A lot of the time it was just the camera shaking creating
effects of earthquakes.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image on the soft side throughout,
as is the lossy Dolby Digital sound and there are no extras.
