Making
a promise to his dying mother on her deathbed, a pastor promises to
take care of his ex-criminal brother and to work together to help
rebuild a fallen church. When suddenly his brother is gundown by a
homeless man in a random act of violence, the pastor begins wondering
what is the point of rebuilding the church if it only meant for him
to lose his brother? Both the pastor and community loses faith in
the church, but a nameless drifter begs to differ in WWDJ.
After
his ex-criminal brother performs the ultimate sacrifice to save his
pastor brother, the pastor loses faith in himself, that his brother,
a non-believer, had more courage than him to lay down his life for
his brother instead of he for him. With the help of the community
and two teenage brothers, and one mysterious drifter with God's
pearls of wisdom, they help the pastor find his path to forgive
himself and his brother's killer. John Schneider leads the cast.
This
was like a reverse prodigal son story, in where the bad son proves
that it take more than just preaching the Bible to make a difference.
And where the good son learns a lesson that there is more than just
reading and repeating the Bible, but practicing what he preaches as
well. The story comes usually comes full circle when the
character(s) is/are able to make peace and amends with himself and
those around them. In the end it is about knowing the difference
between knowing the path ...and walking the path.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is soft, lossy Dolby Digital
sound weak and there are no extras.
