Snuff
102 (2007/Massacre Video/MVD DVD Set)
Picture:

If
you are a fan of trash cinema, then Snuff 102 (2007) may be
just for you. While it's nothing special and pales in comparison to
Fred Vogel's August Underground Trilogy, Snuff 102 follows
a young journalist who decides to investigate the macabre world of
Underground Snuff Filmmaking and low and behold, becomes a prisoner
(and subject) herself.
If
you like seeing women beaten and mutilated (I don't at all) then you
may enjoy this film as it has been hailed as authentic and real.
(Whether or not that's true is questionable.) Director Mariano
Peralta succeeds as a trash filmmaker with scenes that are gory and
unnerving.
Sound
and Picture are not good but aren't really meant to be in this gritty
standard definition presentation with a lossy Dolby 2.0 track that is
barely stereo if that.
Extras
include...
an
Interview with the Director
Director
Audio Commentary
Bits
and Pieces: The Making of Snuff 102
Cast
Interviews
Deleted
Scenes
Stills
Gallery and English Subtitles
My
suggestion would be to watch August Underground again instead.
