When
a stranger comes knocking at the door in the middle of a storm
looking for help, Terri (Taraji P. Henson) opens her house and home
as the 'Good Samaritan' to help others in need. Little does she
suspect she will be the one in need of help and learns no good deed
goes unpunished. Colin (Idris Elba) is an escaped convict, charged
with manslaughter but never proven of murder, has plans for Terri and
won't take no for an answer. Terri is in the fight for her and her
children's lives if they are to survive the night.
The
first thing Colin does is begins his plans for another murder and
revenge for those who betrayed him. He is charming and intelligent,
and his would be Samaritan has no clue what his true nature is.
Terri is a mother of 2, however she desires to have a little more
action in life, even if it is a quick affair, but when his story and
his actions begin to mismatch Terri begins to realize she is the one
being played...
"No
good deed goes unpunished." What a world we are living it when
being the 'Good Samaritan' is not so good. The horror and terror of
helping someone is turned on yourself and it is them using you
against your will (but then we live in paranoid times). While you as
the audience you know from the beginning the horror/karma of trying
to flirting with a killer, there were times when you can feel the
character was doing something stupid, and if you are going do
something make sure it counts and don't get caught.
The
1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image and DTS-HD MA (Master
Audio) 5.1 lossless mix are just fine for a standard thriller like
this, if not spectacular. Extras include Making of a Thriller, Trill
of a Good Fight, A Good Samaritan, and trailers
