Game
Of Assassins (2013 aka The Gauntlet/Lionsgate DVD)

Five
complete strangers find themselves trapped in an underground lair
filled with dead bodies and booby traps, with no memory in how they
fell into a dungeon full of torture machines, weapons, dead bodies,
and Satanic symbols and paintings on the wall. As they work together
to find the way out of the dungeon, they realize each level requires
a sacrifice... that someone must die at each level in order for the
group to proceed to the next gate, but will they have enough lives to
reach the exit?
Each
level is filled with a deadly riddle which they must solve and cost
someone's life to open, but each one of them holds a dark secret
themselves, each one of them has killed someone before. Now they are
trapped in a dungeon in which they are both working and killing each
other in order to escape ...and only one will be allowed to win.
If
you like macabre films then look no further. The whole film was
about how people would react when their life is in danger, would you
be willing to kill to escape? That to survive, human nature is and
will commit acts of violence and evil. This variant on that theme
does little new.
The
anamorphically enhanced image is decent, if a little soft, while the
lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is not as strong, but passable. Extras
include deleted scenes, gallery and digital version.
