Payton
is high school's biggest loser and dork, your typical high school
nerd who dreams of somehow getting the most popular girl in school.
He lives in his fantasy world of comics rather than the real world
...and he is hopelessly in love with the school's hottest
cheerleader, Carrie. Despite his determined (and epic fail)
advances, Carrie feels otherwise and wants Payton to stop hounding
her, so she cooks up plans to hook him up with the school biggest
female dork, Samantha. But then... not everything goes as planned in
The Secret Lives Of Dorks (2013).
When
Carrie proposes an idea for him to man up and date another girl,
he'll take what he can get just so that he can have some sort of
relationship/friend with Carrie (even if he's not going out with
her). From first date to first kiss, Payton learns dating is more
than looks and boobs, and that both girls and boys have to look
deeper than appearances and Carrie learns that she might be beautiful
on the outside, but it is nothing if she is not beautiful on the
inside.
This
film was your usual underdog character with high school comedy and
drama (kinda looks and reminds me of Napoleon
Dynamite).
Most of the film is comical situations the main character gets into,
but in the end it reminds people that no one is really perfect and
relationships aren't either, only when we meet the right person we
are perfect for each other, mistakes and all included. Jim Belushi
and Jennifer Tilly also star.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image has a phony, soft digital look
to it, the lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 sound is flat and there are no
extras.
