Jesse
(2014) is a female cop that prefers to shoots first and asks
questions later., but when her brother gets mixed up with the mob and
goes missing, she takes it personal and wants to find out what
happened to him. But as she investigates further into her brother's
disappearance, she is suddenly finds herself in the middle of a mob
war and is ordered off the case by her chief. Then... she's not the
type to side down or follow orders because Jesse (Stephanie Finochio)
is not your average sweet cupcake in a uniform, she is your ass
kicking, swearing, drunkard that could out drink any man.
And
when it comes to justice, she isn't afraid of bending a rules (or
breaking a few bones on that matter). She is dirty but she gets the
job done, yet not as bad as the thieves, crooks, and bent cops (but
close). And in a town where there is no honor among thieves (or
police for that matter), all rules go out the window. After the mob
steals her brother's life insurance and sends her mom to the
hospital, she takes it personal ...with a sawed-off shotgun.
This
film reminded me a lot like Die Hard except with a female
version of John McClaine and a smaller budget. Sadly, the main
character was not as hot as the picture on cover. The acting was
mostly 2nd rate actors with a lot of one liners. Armand Assante and
Eric Roberts show up, but to no avail. The anamorphically enhanced
image is just plain awful and lossy Dolby Digital very, very average.
Extra includes digital copy.
