Welcome
to Aquafall, a land of lush green fields, emerald forests, crystal
blue skies, and where the people live in peace and harmony with
nature and magic, but when meteors fall on Aquafall, monsters call
Lucasites emerge from the craters and threaten to destroy it's people
and it's lands. It is now up to three magical girls, Leviathan,
Bahamut and Jormungandr, to team up together to save the world from
these invading aliens.
Leviathan
- The Last Defense
is a fantasy series about 3 anthropomorphic young dragon girls who
fight to save their world from the insect like invading aliens.
Leviathan is a water dragon mage who is in search of her older
brother. Bahamut is a fire dragon mage who comes from a rich family
and Jormungandr is an earth-affinity dragon with enormous strength
and a huge axe. They brought together by Syrup, a magical fairy (who
has a bottomless stomach) who tells them that they are the destined
heroines of Aquafall. Together they must work together to
unseal/restore the various dragon spirit guardians of nature to help
them defeat the invading forces.
This
was very cute anime, mixed with magical girls and dragons, while it
is fantasy, swords and sorcery it was not too graphic nor was it
bloody or violent. It is the typical magical girl(s) transforming to
overcoming the forces of evil with power of love, friendship and team
work, safe to watch for all ages.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 image and lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo
mix (with some Pro Logic surrounds if you are interested in that kind
of playback) are just fine for such a series with a few demo moments
too. Extras includes clean opening and closing animations and
trailer.
