Fator: Live In Concert (2014/Lionsgate DVD)

We
recently reviewed this release and wanted to give an alternate look
at Terry Fator in the Mirage at Las Vegas as he gives stand up comedy
with this puppets. He sings, dances and does various vocal
impersonation with his puppets, from country to rock and roll. This
is a talent we rarely see anymore and that is why we decided on
double coverage in Terry Fator Live In Concert, but you can
see more about Fator in coverage of this and an older DVD elsewhere
on this site.
Terry
Fator, Las Vegas ventriloquist entertainer, is like a live action
singing and dancing Muppet show on stage. He is know for most by his
Winston the turtle. With every new puppet there is a new song. It
is incredible how he is able to sing in so may different voices for
different types of songs. Each puppet has a unique voice, character
personality and story background.
Terry
considers himself to be one a the few serious ventriloquist.
That there are so many ventriloquist/performers that none of them are
taken seriously, much less remembered after they walk off stage.
Most people think you seen one ventriloquist, you seen them all.
Terry somehow manages to take the various songs and puppets and make
them into almost a semi-musical. The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X
1 image is good, but the lossy Dolby Digital sound is weak. Extras
include commentary with many pre-show interviews, endorsements, music
videos and Fator Tots.
