After
the showdown with Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch)
has been dead
for two years, but now he is back. Between an international
terrorist attack, various theories of how Sherlock survived the fall
and John's wedding, Sherlock meets his match when they meet the
mysterious Charles Augustus Magnussen who seems to holds the
government and the world's secrets at ransom. Once again, the game
is on...
Sherlock:
Season Three
has the legendary detective back from the grave (and John's not happy
for keeping him in the dark for 2 years) after systematically tearing
down Moriarty's underground network, Mycroft Holmes (his brother)
brings Sherlock back to London to stop an interment terrorist attack.
When John's gets married to Mary, Mary seems to have a few secrets
and skeletons she's kept from John, but Holmes faces his toughest foe
yet, Magnussen who holds all the worlds secrets, has governments in
the palms of his hand and has a Mind
Palace
just like Holmes.
This
is an incredible BBC TV series of a modern retelling of Sherlock
Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock is a pompous,
know-it-all, show off, drama queen, high functioning sociopath and
Watson is an ex-military doctor. All the characters were very tongue
and cheek, however in this retelling every character has some dark
secret, give the series a dark macabre twist, makes the characters
both interesting and funny at times. You can see why it is such a
huge worldwide hit.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image and DTS-HD MA lossless
5.1 sound mix are a fined combination and as strong as any TV on
Blu-ray full season release I have seen to date. Extras include the
Fall, Fans, Villains & Speculation, and Shooting Sherlock.
