Frank
Vega (Danny Trejo), aka Bad Ass comes out of retirement when
one of his student is found on the wrong side of town and dead.
While he is getting older, he's not out of the fight yet, this time
teams up with another old timer, Bernie (Danny Glover), an ex-hockey
player/shop owner with agoraphobia. Together, these two grandpas
will kick ass and clean up the streets against a powerful
international drug king pin and his empire in Craig Moss' Bad Ass
2: Bad Asses (2014).
Frank
Vega has become infamous after standing up against bullies on a bus
and getting it web-posted all over the Net. Now known as Bad Ass,
the tough-as-nails alcoholic grandpa who can still beat up punks and
gangsters with his bare hands, but when he takes on a whole drug
cartel, he will need a little help from his old pal Bernie.
Together, in their sweat suits and fanny packs they will leave
nothing standing when they're done.
This
film takes two action superstars and makes it into a comic movie
about about two old men who takes the law into their own hands and is
tougher than crime itself. It makes fun of how these 2 old men can
still beat up mob, that even the mafia has to respect their elders,
but not much more. If you like the actors, you might be amused, but
are they getting too old for this....
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital, HD-shot High Definition image is not bad, but
not great, yet the DTS-HD (MA) Master Audio lossless 5.1 mix is the
highlight of the entire release. Extras include Digital HD copy, a
making of the film and trailers.
