Dejiko
and Puchiko were aliens that came to Earth to become idols. Years
later, they are now all grown up and living together, Dejiko works in
a bakery and Puchiko goes to high school. One fateful night on
Christmas Eve Dejiko has a encounter with Takuro and before she knows
it, she about to learn the most power magic on Earth ...love.
In
Di Gi Charat: Winter Garden (2006), Dejiko is no longer the
hyper-active cat girl saying nyo or nyu after every
sentence anymore. Now she is the sweet, innocent girl-next-door who
works in the local bakery to support her and her sister. When she is
aided by a mysteriously young man on Christmas Eve she continues to
have fateful encounters with the handsome boy throughout town. For
the first time Dejiko starts caring how she appears and want the
attention of this special boy. And when her female co-workers
find out Dejiko has fallen in love they cheer her on and Puchiko make
fun and teases her.
This
is a two part side story spin-off the Di Gi Charat series.
The characters are older and it is a fairy tale romance story of
first love, trials and tribulations. As characters continue to
randomly bump into each other, they develop feelings for each other
and become eventual boyfriend and girlfriend. Nice continuation!
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is as nice as it can be in
this format, though I know a Blu-ray would be even more impressive.
The lossy Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is a little on the weak,
quiet side, though. The only extras are trailers, which is just too
little for this release.
