Be
My Valentine (2013/Hallmark/Cinedigm DVD)

Dan
Farrell (William Baldwin) is the fire chief, and he is also a single
dad and not looking for love, but as the days get closer to
Valentine's Day, he gets ready for the Fireman's ball and he meets
Kate, a florist who is helping with the flower arrangements for the
ball. While juggling work, his son budding romance, and the ball,
his his co-workers can't help but notice there might be some sparks
of passion between Dan and Kate as well in Graeme Campbell's Be My
Valentine (2013).
Dan
is also a widow and a father. After the death of his wife, he never
expected to love again, but with the help of his son's (and his
crew), inspiration, and encouragement, he might have a second chance
when he responds to a fire at a local florist. As he helps his own
teenage son with advice about girls and how to romance them, he would
do just as well to listen to his own advice. Everyone sees whats
going on but the two couple, but when Kate's ex-boyfriend returns
with a marriage proposal, will Dan step down or step up?
This
is a feel good humorous movie about single parents and how it is
never too late for romance. While the couples are a bit older, they
are not still without their charms. It is a story of father and son
duo who work together to help each other find a girlfriend, while
most adults would never be caught dead talking about romance with
their kids, it is nice to see parents who aren't afraid of giving
advice to growing teenagers and them finding love too.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby Digital sound
are much softer than they should be and there are no extras, so this
is a very basic disc.
