Tory
'Tornado' (Francia Raisa) is a Jersey girl in Manhattan elementary
school as teacher dating a wealthy New York banker, but secretly she
was bounty hunter in retirement, but when a bounty out of her past
escapes jail and swears revenge, she returns home to the family
business for this one 'last' job. With her well-to-do boyfriend in
tow she has to keep him safe and her family's occupation a secret
from him in Gil Junger's Christmas Bounty (2013).
Tory
is also the sweet elementary school teach, but secretly she comes
from New Jersey and from a family of bounty hunters. She is then
forced to return home when she receives a threat call from a former
bounty to collect her gear and her family and unfortunately for her,
her rich socialite boy gives her a surprise holiday visit. Now, Tory
has not only to catch the bad guy but hide her family from her
boyfriend on top of that she meets and teams up with her old flame
and reawakens her bounty hunter nature.
This
is a comical movie, as much as we like to fantasize of hot female
elementary school teachers with firearms, it is comical to see how a
teacher could suddenly turn into a bad ass bounty hunter. The film
makes fun of New Jersey culture and the main character's entire
family reminds you of Dog the Bounty Hunter and his family.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is too soft for its own good
and lossy Dolby Digital sound not as rich as it should be, so they
were the big disappointments here. Extras include All I Want for
Christmas: WrestleMania Casting Call, Handcuffs and Handbags:
The Style of Christmas Bounty and A ChristMiz Story.
