Get ready
for another season of sex, seduction, murder and crime by one of the more
infamous families of the papacy, The
Borgias – The Second Season. As
Rodrigo is Pope Alexander VI, he rule with his family for their own family's
wealth and legacy. He and his family
faces new challenges, old and new enemies to secure their positions of power or
wealth, behind closed doors lies secret passions, murders and poison. As Lucrezia find new suitors, Cesare and Juan
face off each other in jealous and deadly sibling rivalry.

As the
power hungry Borgias secure their power in the papacy, Rodrigo does everything
in his power to insure family, children to power either seducing, killing, or
destroying their enemies. A Pope having
a family is bad enough, but several mistresses, and behind the Vatican walls Rodrigo has turned Rome into more like his
personal brothel. Cesare runs secret
missions to secure, sabotage, or murder allies and enemies with Michieletto,
but he envies and secretly plots against Juan who always lives in Cesare's
shadow of successes. Lucrezia is the
Borgias’ seductress pawn used in political marriage and wealth.
If there
was ever a first family of crime on an international scale, it must of been the
Borgias. In the second season continues with the threat of war against a
corrupt church. The Borgias must secure
a means of wealth to fight their various enemies include a coup d’Etat in the
church who like to see the pope's term come to an end. If the Borgia cannot
seduce what they want, they will kill for it, behind every smile lays poison,
venom and betrayal. The series is filled
with sex, seduction, incest, and all others things that the church could never
really do or did.
The 1080p
1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image transfers on all the episodes are
terrific and look fine throughout as they did for the previous set, making this
the best way to see these shows over any other source including cable and
satellite. The Dolby TrueHD 5.1 is one
of the best set of TrueHD mixes we have encountered for a TV production and has
a great soundfield throughout with exceptional recording quality and a warm

The
Borgia Bull -
Pope Alexander secures his position (and a new mistress) and produces a lavish
celebration in a return to pagan ways, the Borgia Bull.
Paolo - Lucrezia's father returns to
see his son, but Juan has other plans than a family reunion.
The
Beautiful Deception
- As the French armies marches on to Rome,
Cesare must devises a risky gamble to stop the invading force.
Stray
Dogs - Rodrigo
and Cesare secretly travel to inspect the people and it's church. Lucrezia is
left in charge and must clean up the misuse of church funds to the poor.
The
Choice - Cesare
is sent to convince the Sforza family to join the Borgia, either through his
bed or by his sword. The Pope must deal
with Friar who preaches the corruption of the Borgias and must be removed.
Day of
Ashes - After
lighting strikes the church, Rodrigo says the church must fast and repent while
searching for a new suitor for Lucrezia.
The
Siege at Forli - Juan lays siege to the Sforzia,
but uses un-honorable tactics, which the siege soon ends badly... for Juan.
The
Truth and Lies -
Juan lies about his honorable defeat and Cesare finds out about the truth and
secretly uses it to disgrace Juan.
The
World of Wonders
- Lucrezia's child is baptized, but when Juan threatens the life of the baby,
Cesare makes choice to kill his brother.
The
Confession - As
Rodrigo morns the lost of his son, Cesare confesses and wishes to show, be
forgiven and be the more worthy son now that he has proved his point, but as he
confesses the Pope is suddenly poisoned.
