There
lies an ancient secret treasure in the Wu Dang mountains; mountains filled with
mystic energies and martial art masters. It is said who ever collects the seven
treasures will gain the secret to ultimate power and wealth. A father and daughter journeys to the fabled
mountains to join in a martial arts tournament for a chance to secretly search
for the long lost treasures, however, they are not the only ones, along with
other clans, brigands and a certain beautiful thief, and they must fight the Wu Dang clans from guarding it secret
treasures.
The
archaeologist father challenges to Wu Dang martial arts master to attain the
seven secret treasures to save his daughter from a terminal illness. As a martial arts tournament goes on, he uses
it to sneak into the hidden treasure vaults of the Wu Dang masters and joined
forces with another, a beautiful young lady who is also after one of the
treasures: a lost sword which is her family heirloom, but soon they both
realize they have been tricked by another power hungry martial arts master who
reveals that by collecting all seven treasures, one is able to become a god and
immortal. Will this work?
This was
an exciting martial arts film with a lost treasure, a touching bond between
father and daughter, action, and unexpected romances. The plot was simple, ancient treasure that
leads to ultimate power and only martial arts can stop it. The characters were all interesting and even
funny, and the fights were all beautifully choreographed.
The 1080p
2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image transfer is terrific and one of the best
Blu-ray I have ever seen, capturing the choreography, locations and so much
more with a RED Epic 5K HD camera, while the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) Chinese 5.1
lossless mix is impressively active and well recorded throughout, making the
combination a real winner. Extras
include a behind the scenes program and trailers.
