Alex, a
young reporter for an erotic sex tabloid needs something new to write for his
next article or he will get fired. He
secretly infiltrates a secret club where all men wear masks or black hood, but
then finds himself in a gruesome game where rich men hunt people for sport, a
perfect tabloid article. Now his only
problem now is surviving through the night in Hunt.
In this
tale, a secret group of men who hunt men for sport make their prey homeless men
they have take off the streets and get away with it thinking they have no
friends, family, money or power. They
cut out their tongues so they can't cry for help and cuff a case with money to
them. The hunters then hunt them down
and claim the money as their prize. When
Alex secretly replaces one of the hunters, he soon finds himself in over his
head, but tempted by money (and to stay alive) he must play the role of the
hunter and join the hunt for these innocent men... but when the hunters
discovers a traitor in their midst, suddenly he become the prey.
This is
another film where a crazy group of people hunt people for sport/survival/fun,
the hunters hunt with bow and arrows (this 1932’s The Most Dangerous Game, reviewed elsewhere on this site), and the
game is if the prey can last one night they are set free with the money that is
chained to them, however no one has ever escaped. It the typical life and death situation where
bored rich men find hunting other men to be the ultimate sport. The idea is that man is the most dangerous
sport/prey and to have the guts to get to doing something extremely illegal is
the ultimate thrill.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 sound is
sort of in stereo and here too, all is badly recorded throughout. There are no extras here, which was a big
relief.
