In 2002,
the US
military captured a supernatural entity and has it locked away in an
underground bunker. A civilian/minor psychic,
Hayley is sent in to try and 'talk' with this military experiment, but that’s
when all hell break loose, the entity breaks out and the military will do
anything to keep it from escaping... including locking everyone in… in Stormhouse!
Hayley is
given a chance of a lifetime to actually come face to face with the paranormal
instead of just some vague 'feeling', finally some proof of talking with the
afterlife. As she tries to communicate
with the entity and learn of its origins or how it got there, the only thing
that comes through is the word 'Play' and a child's song. Soon however, she learns this entity not only
wants to escape but is vindictive about its captors, but when she learns of the
truth... that the military didn't catch it; their ghost containment machine
only rips out people’s souls.
This film
was clearly meant to be a horror and not some military sci-fi. Set in a rundown military base with only a
skeleton crew. Most of the time, the
film took place in half lit rooms, it made things poor to see but then you
could tell it was setting up for the ghost to scare the audience. The conclusion is underwhelming too. Extras include Stormhouse: Uncovered and trailers.
