There is
no honor among thieves, the Yakuza, a criminal organization that controls the
underworld of Japan.
From extortion, drug running, to hit
jobs there is nothing they wouldn't do for money or power. Look at them the wrong way and they will kill
you, but when a power struggle occurs between the various clans, all hell
breaks loose. Whether to stay alive, get
revenge, or to get on top it becomes an all out battle royal between Yakuzas
...and only the most ruthless, vicious last man standing will be the next head
in Takeshi Kitano’s Outrage.
Otomo and his crew have been working for the yakuza a long time, but when the
family head starts pitting the clans against one another all rules and codes of
honor are thrown out the window. It's
brother versus brother, what starts out as moving in on another clan's
territory becomes payback plus one dead body, and then the cycle doesn't stop
till everyone is dead. The most
dangerous yakuza is always the one closest to you, blood maybe thicker than
water, but money and power can make the best of friends into bitter enemies.
If you like Japanese Yakuza culture then look no further, this film show how
completely ruthless and heartless a yakuza can be. How the family head's way of controlling the
various factions and clans is to secretly keep them so busy pitting against
each other, so they don't have time to pit against him. What makes the yakuza so scary is not what they
can do, but how they do it, they'll make a dead body an object of lesson for
everyone else. This looks and sounds
good as you would expect a Blu-ray to, including better than your average DVD
and once again, MagNet deliver a quality disc.
Extras include cast interview, making of Outrage, premiere Q & A,
behind the scenes documentary and trailers.
