A neurosurgeon
couple discovers a 16mm black and white film of human brain
experimentation in the basement of the hospital and decides to restart the
experiments to find the 'forbidden territory' for the evolution of the human
spirit. Years later they even include
their two daughters as part of their 'experiment', but soon the police begin
looking for people who have gone missing and the doctor's own daughter are
searching for the whereabouts of her missing sister in The Sylvian Experiments.
Two mad
scientists find a film that confirms their ideas of human experimentation of
the human brain leads to the world of the spiritual and the unseen. Years later, the doctors own daughters become
subjects of their horrible experiments. As
one of the sister tries to discover what happen did to her sister, it may be
too late... something has entered human realm and now can not be stopped.
If you believe in the human experimentation can lead to supernatural/spiritual
phenomenon, then The Sylvian Experiments
is up your alley. An experiment that has
gone either horribly wrong... or has gone terribly right. A story of madness, parents with no moral
regard, believing what they do is something of 'higher' calling to the point of
using their own flesh and blood. Only
when the experiment has become out of their control do they realize
their foolishness. This film features
the 'doctors' cutting open the human skull and prodding around the brain.
The anamorphically
enhanced 1.85 X 1 image looks good, but the sound is a mixed affair and not so
good, though some of that might be on purpose.
Extras include trailers for other programs, but nothing for this one.
