Metcalf’s Fading Of The Cries (2011)
has potential as this set-up shows, familiar as it is. Sarah was a normal girl, which was until she
put on a mysterious necklace. It woke an
evil spirit, the necromancer, a man who has delved into dark magic and
made pacts with demons, but was then sealed away for his
crimes. Sarah broke the seal and all he needs the
necklace to be completely resurrected. Now,
in a town full of undead, Sarah's only chance for survival is to follow
mysterious boy, together they must uncover the past and find out what her uncle
did.
Too bad this film was your typical teenager-saves-the-world-from-evil movie,
undead hordes, mysterious pretty boy with a magical sword. The main character was quite the
spoiled damsel in distress, accidentally releasing evil into the world,
whenever the monsters showed up she does is scream and panic, her
saving only saving grace was the guardian boy (who was already dead)
guarding her. Too bad they could not
have come up with more, especially since the look of the film is not bad, but
the sound was limited. Extras include
interviews with cast and crew and trailers.
