Sherlock
Holmes, super sleuth, a man who uses his intellect to solve, deduce clues to
solve whatever the murder maybe. As
Holmes and Watson arrive at the scene, they protect not only merry old England but save America from falling into the hands
of it's enemies. Their duty is not only
to solve the case, but serve justice, freedom and protect it's citizens
& victims from those who would prey on the innocent or weak.
The famous characters Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson created by Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle have been remade over time, again and again with
different writers and directors to solve crime/murder mysteries. In this classic version, he is now brought
forward in times to solve more modern crimes long after the passing of his
original creator and is now brought over to the United States not
only the protector of Scotland Yard but of the America's
citizens from Nazis and those who would do evil or commit murder. In these black and white films, one can really
notice when the directors were using the Sherlock Holmes character as a
champion/hero to promote the fight against Germans and Nazis during WWII, as
his character was transplanted to this time period by the time the series was
at this point. Extras include still
gallery and audio commentary.
Sherlock Holmes in Washington
When a British secret service agent carrying a sensitive document on his way to
Washington is found murdered and his documents he carried goes missing Sherlock
Holmes and Watson is called to America to find the missing papers before it
becomes an international incident, but it looks like he is not the only one
looking for the missing documents. Sherlock
Holmes must track down missing microfilm before it falls into the hands of the
Nazi agents.
Sherlock Holmes Faces Death
Murders are happening in an old mansion at Musgrave Manor, but there are
strange tales of ghosts and legends about it and the people who live there. The only clue Sherlock Holmes has is
from an ancient riddle that has been pasted down thought the family,
that these murders were not just random acts, and someone has a
secret not even the family knows. Before
the night is done Holmes will solve the secret of the riddle, find hidden
passage ways and find the murderer before he strikes again.
These are
the same DVDs as previously reviewed via the link above, but I though they we
more aged than our other writer, so you might want to try out the Blu-rays if
you really want to get them, though this is a good starter set.
