After a
brutal murder of his family, Costello vows to find and bring vengeance to those
who murdered his daughter's family. With
barely any clues, Costello will do anything
to find those who killed his family, including hiring his own assassins to
track and hunt down those who were responsible. As the trail leads closer Costello's men
learns they are dealing with the person who owns their loyalty, the Triad. Between honor, money and blood where will
Costello and his men stand? Together or at the end of each other's gun barrel?
Costello is just a French gourmet chef; ~right...
it is obvious he is not unfamiliar with the ways of the assassins.
After a chance encounter with a group hitmen after their latest hit, he enlists
their aid in his quest for personal vengeance, but Costello has another
problem, time, because of an old wound he is constantly losing his memory, will
he forget why he seeking revenge before he finds the ones behind it all? But no matter what, blood must always be
repaid and a hitman is a hitman until his dieing day or at someone else's
bullet.
This was a great mob story, of hitmen versus hitmen, you could just feel when
things going to turn into an epic shoot out. When everyone is scum, it's not just a battle
for survival, but to see who is the baddest badass. The gun battles were excellently
choreographed, at each shoot outs every moment slowed down as if it was the
final moment, to see exactly how many bullets does it take to kill a hitman. This film was like a mix blend of Eastern and
Western Gangster films, the smoothness of Western mafia of revenge, and Eastern
honor of Triad hitmen. The film explores
the unspoken honor among killers, their reasons and what exactly a hitman would
die for. If you like gangster movies
with high bullet count then this film is for you. The anamorphically enhanced 2.35 X 1 image
and Dolby Digital 5.1 mix are as good as they can be in this format, so a
Blu-ray should perform even better. Extras
include trailer and making of the film.
