Scott
Hastings is a champion ballroom dancer, but when he shocks the dancing
community with his own new daring and exciting moves he soon finds himself
without a partner. The Ballroom
confederation isn't just going to take this sitting down, they are determined
to stop Scott's 'new steps' from influencing dance community. With the Pan Pacific Championships coming up,
Scott take a chance and teams up with Fran, a beginner dancer to show the world
that dancing is following the beat of your heart.
Strictly Ballroom is a classic
dancer's movie with a following. Scott
is a young, talented dancer who wants to show the world a new way of dancing,
but his trouble is the judges of the dance community can't accept his
unorthodox new style. Scott find a new
partner Fran, an outcast beginner dancer who see the potential of his dance and
willing to dance with him, but it takes two to tango and he learns that dancing
is more than just following steps. As
Scott and Fran practice dancing together, sparks soon begin to fly
and they are drawn closer to each other.
