The Guild – Season 3 (2010/New Video NYC DVD)

Picture: B-     Sound: B-     Extras: A+     Episodes: B+

Welcome back to The Guild; join Codex (Felicia Day) and the Knights of Good as they continue their daily adventures.  Whether they are online fiends or reality dramas the members of the guild are always friends... maybe.  While playing online sometimes they can't help but have character's lives (unintentionally) spill into their real lives, but even with either real or fake dramas when the GP (gold points), HP (health points) or reality is down there is always the online world in which anything and everything can happen.

In Season 3 of The Guild, everything starts in chaos, while Codex and her guild waits in line to pick up the latest expansion pack for their game the team is about to self destruct.  Bladezz won't apologize to Tink for deleting her character and Tink quits the Guild, Zaboo is hooking up with Riley in a very dominatrix sexual abusive or BDSM (Bondage Submission Sadism Masochism) relationship, Clara is having a domestic marriage problems, and Vork goes on a road trip resigning as Guild Leader and makes Codex the next Guild Leader.  And to top it all off another Guild, Axis of Anarchy cuts in line in front of them and torments them in both on-line world and real life too.  Can Codex somehow bring back members of The Guild and unite them before the Axis of Anarchy destroy them forever?

What started out on YouTube became a popular comedic series about MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) players.  With over 50 Million worldwide viewers the world can't be wrong.  It is funny to watch (helpful if you know online terminologies) and makes fun of the various 'types' of people/characters who play MMORPGs.  Their real lives are so messed up they play their online games with their Avatars to find both friends and relationships they can connect or fantasize with, they can't help themselves when their fantasy life affects their real life...

Between on-line trolls, real life boyfriends you have to wonder which kind of soap opera drama are really worse?  Extras include a ton of stuff including tips for making a web video, "Do You Want to Date My Avatar" music video, making of "Do You Want to Date My Avatar", Halloween video, Guild rejects, how to make Vork's sword, audio commentary with cast, creator, Director and Producer, gag reels and more.
