Bill Burr – Let It Go (2010/Image DVD)

Bill Burr may not be a laugh riot, but he is one of the
funnier comedians I have seen lately and his sometimes bold and well-times Let It Go concert has enough funny
moments to go out of your way to catch.
Running 65 minutes, Burr never has any dull moments as he takes on
attitudes, sex and how idiotic people can be.
He also is self-deprecating in amusing ways without turning into Rodney
Dangerfield, but may be a stand-up on his way to bigger things.
Recently turning up as a detective in the failed comedy Date Night, there is no doubt that he
has a presence, talent and the camera even likes him. Hope we see more of him soon.
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is likely a
1080i taping, but has some good color and for a static, simple shot of the
comedian throughout, has few challenges to meet. The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix places Burr into
the center channel more than I would have liked and 2.0 Stereo might have been
the preferred mix, but the recording is sufficient for the show. Extras include Outtakes, The Monday Morning
Podcast and bonus stand-up clips.
