Finally
we have this shot from the out of print 2002 letterboxed VCI DVD that comes
from a three-strip, dye-transfer Technicolor print that shows the mirror-like
quality of the E.U.R.E.S.C.O. building’s sign on its lawn with the modernist
building itself behind it. The Blu-ray
can outdo the background detail and some of the depth with ease, yet it is
missing some of the color and naturalistic qualities found here.
