The
rollout of Madeline animation on DVD continues from the Shout! Factory Kids
subdivision of the popular company with Madeline’s
Halloween & Other Spooky Tales, arriving a little more than before the
actual holiday. This set includes five
theme-related installments:
Madeline’s Halloween
Madeline & The Mean, Nasty,
Horrible Rats
Madeline & The Mummy
Madeline & The Haunted Castle
Madeline & The Spider Lady
As novel as this is, the character is a little out of her element for such
tales (even though they are fun and light comedy) and the results of the mix is
uneven and only seems to be a seasonal offering that might be fun once in a
while, but this collection is just a bit out of its element overall and is not
an all-year volume like the Great Adventures disc we recently covered:
