Because
no one wants to even think or talk about a Batman from the camp or early comic
book era, despite his roots and success being just that, we figured we would
just leave it at a “franchise” and list all of our coverage of the character
from all mediums and all eras as follows:
Whether
you like the 1960s live-action TV show or not, legalities are still preventing
it from arriving on DVD and Blu-ray via a lawsuit by the heirs of William
Dozier against Fox, Warner and DC Comics.Every other version of Batman from the 1940s Columbia Serials to Scooby
Doo shows to the current wave of Bruce Timm animated shows, almost every piece
of Batman on film (save commercials) is on DVD except for the first Super Friends season to the Filmation
animated series from 1968 are all available.Unlike the hit Dozier series, there is no excuse for the others to be
absent.
